Halloween costumes

You'd think since Halloween is on Saturday this year it would simplefy everything - but no. The Halloween festivities start today for Connor at school, the ward trunk or treat and carnival is on Friday and Bre and Hillary dress up for school on Friday - then we finally go trick-or-treating on Saturday. So I figured I better get pictures before the costumes get worked over.

Sam just seems to be a regular fixture at our house now and insisted on having his picture taken too.

I think Sam is the tallest 10 year old I've ever met. He's taller than I am:(

FALL FUN

The last week has provided multiple opportunities for the kids to go out and play in the leaves. It is supposed to snow today so I suppose the fun is over. Sad for Hillary, as she begs to play in the leaves every day.

The playground at the zoo

Hogle zoo has a great playground where you can pretend to be different animals. Hillary and Connor loved it and Bre did it under duress. But none-the-less it made for great pictures.

More Zoo

More pictures from the zoo. Did I mention how perfect the day was?

The Zoo

So despite yesterdays post - I did take pictures of my kids at the zoo and not just the baby elephant. It was a wonderful day - the weather was perfect. And the zoo wasn't crowded. I think I'll go this time of year next year too.

Zuri

I have long held the opinion that everything is cute if it's tiny. My belief has been reinforced by our trip to the zoo last weekend. Hogle Zoo is proud to have a baby elephant - Zuri. She is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. She was playing and running around...I could have watched her for hours. At one point she climbed on top of that big red ball in the background and fell off. Even that was cute. Hillary loved her too - we even went back in the afternoon to see her again - but she was not as active then. So if you have the chance - go see her. She's worth the price of admission.

She worked for about 5 minutes trying to get all four feet on that cement wall. Everytime she'd try to get that fourth foot up she'd fall off.

Hillary was thrilled when she walked under her mom without having to duck.
