What the boys did....

While we were visiting my Mom, Pat and Connor spent a few days down on the rez with his Mom. They had a great time. They visited the Four Corners Monument and went into Cortez and Shiprock. Connor was able to take his airsoft gun down and shoot to his hearts content.

Just outside of Moab is this huge sand dune on the side of the road. For 5+ years we have been driving by it and Connor always asks to stop so he can run up it. We never have because I'm always too tired by the time we get to that point and I can't imagine all the sand that would end up in my car. Well Pat stopped for him this time and they made it all the way to the top. And all evidence of sand was gone before I got home. Yay for them.

Stragglers

I found a couple pictures on my phone I wanted to post from my Mom's house. They have train rides and a merry-go-round in the mall there. So we took Hillary over. She loved them both.

Merry-go-round with Grandpa

This crazy train picture was taken as they were driving by with my cell phone. It turned out so cool - Hillary is the only thing in focus. Anyway - my point is no it was not on purpose and no I did not edit it in any way.

First Day of School

I know I'm late - but in my defense, Hillary didn't start school until the first, so I'm only really a few days late.

Demolition Derby

We have a new love in our house. It is the Demolition Derby. I'd been thinking about buying tickets since they started advertising the County Fair about 6 months ago. They weren't too expensive and I thought Connor would really love it so I got the tickets. Well it turns out we all loved it - especially Hillary. I was suprised how excited she got everytime the cars crashed into each other. We will definately go again next year and recommend you get tickets when the Demolition Derby comes to your town.

One car caught on fire and the firemen came out.
I don't think the rest of the pictures need explanations. Just crashing cars.

A post for Tasman

I have the cutest little nephew named Tasman. He loves tractors. I mean he REALLY loves tractors. Well, my family is obsessed with taking pictures of tractors for him. So here are the highlights for you Tasman. We hope you enjoy them.

Tractors in the parade.

This was the powder puff tractor pull at the County Fair. Have you ever been to one? They are pretty fun to watch.

Side note: Somewhere I have pictures from the Fiesta Days parade. I can't find them though. They had the whole tractor brigade in it. There is this really great pink tractor that Hillary loves. Someday I'll find the pictures and post them for you.

One more post about Grandma and Grandpa's House

Grandma and Grandpa took us to a big park not to far from their house. Hillary had a blast.

Again with her personal swing pusher....

My sister Alicia and her son Tasman arrived the day before we left so we got to spend some time with them. It was way fun. Alicia is pregnant with her second child so I don't have many pictures of her because she thinks she looks fat. I think she looks cute but per her wishes I didn't post anything that showed her tummy. This is Tasman, Hillary and Alicia riding a "train" driven by Tasman.
Grandma reading. They each got to choose one book. Tasman's is a train book and Hillary's is Pinkalicious.
Hillary fell asleep on the couch one nite while I was finishing up the scrapbook for Grandma.
On they day we left we were able to go to the Reston zoo. It is also a petting zoo and we had fun. This is Alicia as a Monkey.
Hillary feeding the goats.

More goat food.

Riding a Rhino.

And for Grandpa - the baby Lemur.
This was just a cute one of everyone resting.

The safari wagon ride.
