Pack meeting

For Pack Meeting this month we went hiking. Our goal was a campsite about a mile up where we had our meeting and dinner. Then we hiked back down. We are trying to earn our Utah County Trails patch and one of the requirements is a two mile hike. I was proud of our boys and especially proud of our little ones (Hillary and Brendon both 3yrs old) who made the hike with very little complaining.
The creek was very high and we had to cross it not once but TWICE. It was COLD! We all took our shoes off the first time but then when we came to it again - most of us just gave up and left our shoes on. Note: no one was lost to the swift moving water thank heavens.

Up at the campsite we did a quick service projects and the boys wiped down all the picnic tables.

Sounds like fun. Your next service project should be building two bridges across the stream. Better yet get some eagle scouts to do it for their service projects.

Looks like a beautiful hike! I'm with Rachelle...sounds like it's time for a bridge! I can't believe Hillary made the trip with now complaining! That's awesome!
